Walmart and streetwear brand Midwest Kids, the brainchild of designer and Kanye West's former fashion stylist Darryl Brown, released an exclusive capsule collection in celebration of Black History Month. Available at Walmart stores and online at Walmart.com/BlackandUnlimited, the collection features a range of apparel including a hoodie, jogger, and two tees. A varsity jacket and bucket hat will be available exclusively through shopping platform NTWRK's Live episode airing January 18th at 7 PM EST. Each piece is emblazoned with floral motifs and the phrase "Planting seeds and giving flowers daily,” a tribute to the pioneers of the past, the changemakers of today, and the visionaries of the future.

Inspired by Brown's blue-collar background and previous work as a railroad engineer and steelworker before his first forays into fashion, the collaboration serves as a tribute to the hardworking spirit of everyday people whose work sometimes goes unnoticed. "Giving flowers is what Midwest Kids is about," Brown explained in a press release. “Regular” people are the true heroes that make the world go round."

The collaboration's lookbook also features figures who've helped Brown throughout his career and actively work to positively impact their respective communities. "Our goal is to drive real impact that lasts generations and create something that is not only relatable to every person but also accessible," he added.
