Ty Dolla $ign has announced a "multi stadium listening event" scheduled for November 3. It is rumoured that the playback event will be for a new joint album he has recorded with Kanye West.
Rumors of an album from the pair started earlier this month when TMZ reported that Ye had played the project for a small number of people at a recording studio in Italy. Billboard subsequently reported that the pair were looking for a partner to distribute the album. It was speculated that the album would arrive in October but, as has become the norm with Ye releases, that deadline wasn't met.
Ty Dolla $ign's Instagram post reveals little in the way of detail, with only the symbol for the Japanese Yen next to his own $ suggesting the involvement of Ye. The FADER has contacted reps for both artists for comment.
The two artists last collaborated together on Donda track "Junya Pt.2 in 2021. Ty Dolla $ign dropped his latest solo single "Motion" back in June. He also appears on the new serpentwithfeet song "Damn Gloves."
Kanye West, meanwhile, has more time to focus on music after abandoning his plans to run for President in 2024.
