The buzz around Britney Spears‘s forthcoming memoir, The Woman In Me, seems to be endless. Exclusive interviews and excerpts about Justin Timberlake are just a few of the tools that are building momentum behind the autobiography. Now, an unearthed tape of Spears auditioning for The Notebook has been released via the Daily Mail‘s YouTube channel.
In the video, Britney is engaged in an emotional back and forth with the film’s male lead, Ryan Gosling (Gosling reads his lines from off camera). She cries as she delivers a heart-wrenching monologue, explaining why she can’t talk to Gosling’s character any longer. Watch the video below.
In February 2022, Britney signed a $15 million book deal with Simon & Schuster to cover her “professional and personal” life. The deal followed the termination of her conservatorship a few months prior.
