BADBADNOTGOOD and Charlotte Day Wilson have shared "Sleeper," a new song recorded at the Valentine Recording Studios in Los Angeles. Scroll down to listen to the collaboration now.
“Sleeper” marks the latest collaboration between the Toronto-based artists. Day Wilson first appeared on the BADBADNOTGOOD song "In Your Eyes," which featured on their 2016 album IV. They came together again on "I Can Only Whisper," a song from Day-Wilson’s 2021 debut album, ALPHA.
In a statement, Day Wilson says "'Sleeper' wrote itself…we were in the studio just messing around and the guys came up with the colorful instrumental while I freestyled the lyrics. The song portrays someone who chooses the path of least resistance and finds themselves in a lifeless, loveless relationship."
Earlier this year Day Wilson released "Forever," a song she recorded with R&B vocalist Snoh Aalegra. BADBADNOTGOOD, meanwhile, reworked three Turnstile songs on August's New Heart Designs. Their last studio album was Talk Memory, released in 2021.
