Sky Ferreira will tour across the United States in winter 2023. The new dates follow a brief tour of the country this summer in celebration of the fifth anniversary of promoter Minty Boi. The 11 new shows include stops in two shows in California and Texas with other dates in Atlanta, Chicago, Madison, Detroit, Philadelphia, Boston, and New York.
It’s been more than 10 years since Ferreira released her debut album, Night Time, My Time. Unless you include her recent string of tour dates, there’s been no indication that her follow-up, Masochism, will be released anytime soon (her last single “Don’t Forget“ was released in May 2022.) Earlier this year, she denied that she was to blame for her album’s delay, saying that she had been unfairly maligned as “difficult [and] high strung. I am in a DIFFICULT situation & I have to be ‘difficult’ to get through it,” she continued. “I have to protect my work & myself somehow?”
Last month, Sky Ferreira fans bought a billboard in Times Square urging her to be released from her Capitol Records deal; Ferriera expressed support for the campaign via Instagram.
