Zach Bryan arrested following dispute with highway patrol
Bryan said “it was unlike me and I apologize” in a statement shared shortly after his arrest.
Zach Bryan was arrested and later released on bond in Vinita, Oklahoma on obstruction charges. Local news reports state Bryan was booked into Craig County Jail and charged with obstruction of investigation. In a statement shared on social media Bryan admitted to arguing with a highway patrol officer and "was out of line in the things I said." His police mugshot was shared shorlty after his arrest.
In a post on Twitter, Bryan gave his side of the story: "Today I had an incident with the Oklahoma Highway Patrol. Emotions got the best of me and I was out of line in the things I said.
"I support law enforcement as much as anyone can, I was just frustrated in the moment, it was unlike me and I apologize. They brought me to jail, and there is a mug shot of me floating around.
"Prayers we can all move on from this and prayers people know I’m just trying the best I can, I love you guys and I am truly sorry to the officers."
Bryan is currently No.1 in both the Billboard 200, with his self-titled major label debut, and the Hot 100 with Kacey Musgraves collaboration “I Remember Everything,” which features on the album. Earlier this week he announced the "Quittin Time 2024 Tour," which is due to begin next year and will see Bryan step up to performing in stadiums across North America.
