Sofia Kourtesis announces debut album Madres
The project’s third single, “Si Te Portas Bonito,” is out today.
Sofia Kourtesis has unveiled the details of her debut album, Madres. Due out October 27 via Ninja Tune, the project is dedicated to the Peruvian producer and songstress' mother.
Less evidently, the record is also dedicated to a world-renowned neurosurgeon named Peter Vajkoczy, who agreed to operate on Kourtesis’ mother after she was diagnosed with cancer. The operation was successful, extending her life significantly.
Along with the announcement of Madres, Sofia Kourtesis has shared the album’s third single, “Si Te Portas Bonito,” following last year’s “Estación Esperanza” (feat. Manu Chao) and the title track, which we named a Song You Need last March.
