When I first heard Post Malone's "Circles," I'll admit that I didn't expect the indie rock-inspired song to go diamond and become one of the biggest hits in the career of an artist best known as a melodic rapper. So, given that massive success, it makes sense that Malone would go one step further on his new single "Overdrive," a song with jangly, Real Estate-style lead guitar licks all wispy above the country-inflected laments of a life lived in the fast lane.

"Overdrive" will appear on Austin, Post Malone's upcoming fifth studio album, out July 28. This year he's shared the songs "Chemical" and "Mourning," and he's currently on tour with Beach Fossils.
