Dave joins Oxlade on “Intoxycated”
The ascendant Nigerian singer brings on British rap royalty for his newest single.
Oxlade is on the rise. The Nigerian singer turned heads last summer with a COLORS performance of his ultra-catchy ballad “Ku Lo Sa.” He’s released several strong singles since, and his new track, “Intoxycated,” features an injection of star power in the form of British rapper Dave (whose Central Cee collab “Sprinter” has topped the U.K. singles chart for five straight weeks).
On “Intoxycated,” Oxlade and Dave are a perfect match — the latter’s deep, resonant bars the perfect foil to the former’s melismatic tenor crooning. With smooth, speaker-knocking production from Deeyasso, Spax, and The Kazes, the new track has endless hit potential, especially amid the steamiest summer on record. Listen below.
