The Idol, the HBO series from The Weeknd and Euphoria's Sam Levinson, brought its first season to an end last week. I thought it was quite bad, but found the internet pile-on was exaggerated, as they usually are. One bright spot was the soundtrack, which you'd hope would be the case with Abel Tesfaye at the helm. New songs were released every week with a new episode of the show, with "One Of The Girls" arriving on June 23 (last week saw the release of "False Idols," a song with Lil Baby). The song has vocals from The Weeknd, Lily-Rose Depp, and BLACKPINK's Jennie, and production from Mike Dean; today, the video is out. It's just composed of footage from the show, and it's telling that the scenes work better in this context than as part of the actual show. Watch above.
