Big Thief’s Buck Meek announces new solo album Haunted Mountain
The follow-up to 2021’s Two Saviors is out on August 25.
Singer-songwriter and Big Thief guitarist Buck Meek has confirmed details of a new solo album. Haunted Mountain will be released on August 25 and today's announcement arrives alongside the album's title track. Scroll down to listen now.
"Haunted Mansion" is co-written by Meek alongside Jolie Holland, a Texas-based musician who has contributed to five songs on the record. "It’s about being humbled by the thing you’re drawing power from only at which point an actual, fair relationship begins," Meek says in a statement shared with press.
The new album will be released via 4AD, also home to Big Thief. Meek previously released his solo albums, including 2021's Two Saviors through Keeled Scales.
Big Thief recently wrapped up a North American tour in support of their latest album Dragon New Warm Mountain I Believe In You. In March they debuted new song "Vampire Empire" on The Late Show.
