Trying to keep up with this week’s new music? Every Friday, we collect new albums available on streaming services on one page. This week, check out boygenius' the record, Tyler The Creator's Call Me If You Get Lost: The Estate Sale, and more.
boygenius, The Record
Phoebe Bridgers, Lucy Dacus, and Julien Baker — three hugely acclaimed indie rock singer-songwriters — team up for their first full-length as boygenius, a trio that debuted in 2018 with an eponymous EP and tour. Based on that history alone, the record would have been one of the most sought-after releases of the year, but boygenius have boosted anticipation with great singles like “$20,” “Emily I’m Sorry,” “True Blue,“ and “Stronghold.”

So I know I have a lot of work to go because I've seen firsthand the work ethic that has gone into it. And I'm like, 'Yes, I know I work hard, but I could go even harder.'" Future, Chris Brown, and Missy Elliot feature on the album, which includes the songs "In Pieces," "Body Do," "Pray It Away," and "How Does It Feel."

NOIA, Gisela
NOIA is a chameleonic entity, existing most comfortably and confidently in the gaps between genres and cultures. On her debut album gisela, the Barcelona-bred, Brooklyn-based singer-producer glitches between ambient ruminations, field recordings, Rosalían flamenco-pop, and slippery electronic textures that hint at such styles as drum & bass and jungle before evaporating as quickly as they arrived. Similarly, she slides between languages, swimming through passages in Spanish, Portuguese, Catalan, and English with equal enthusiasm. Standout track "verano adentro" (a Song You Need earlier this month) exists in an especially liminal space, with NOIA riding a beat that seems to be constantly dissolving beneath her as she yearns in calm desperation for a little more time.
