The Smile are back in the studio
An email blast from the band indicates the band have been working on their second album for seven weeks.
In an email blast announcing several new summer shows, The Smile revealed to their fans that they’ve been in the studio for nearly two months, ostensibly working on their second LP. “More North American tour dates for when we are let out of the studio,” the trio of Thom Yorke, Jonny Greenwood, and Tom Skinner wrote in the subject line, later adding, “we’re deep in recording, week 7.” Stereogum first reported the news.
In January 2022, The Smile announced themselves with their debut single, “You’ll Never Work In Television Again,” a track that would later appear on their May album A Light For Attracting Attention. In December, they shared a live album recorded at the Montreaux Jazz Festival in July. View their upcoming tour dates below.
