The NBA All-Star Game arrived in Salt Lake City, Utah on Sunday evening, and alongside a basketball game featuring the NBA's best players, viewers were treated to performances from some similarly talented artists, as well as Post Malone. Burna Boy, Rema, and Tems each took the stage for the evening's musical showcase, with Post Malone performing at the pre-game tip-off event with some help from 21 Savage.
The half-time show celebrated some of the Nigerian artists who have gone on to global pop stardom. For his set, Burna Boy performed two songs from his Grammy-nominated album Love, Damini, “It’s Plenty” and "Last Last," our favorite song of 2022, with "Alone" from the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever also included. Rema took the stage with his massive smash “Calm Down” and “Holiday,” and Tems – fresh off her first Grammy win for Best Melodic Rap Performance on "Wait For U" with Drake and Future – gave spirited renditions of “Crazy Tings,” “Free Mind,” “Essence,” and “Higher.” Post Malone took on "Wow." and "Rockstar" before the game, enlisting 21 Savage to perform his verse on their hit.
