Don Toliver heads to the disco in the “Do It Right” video
The video’s story will be continued in Lovesick: The Movie.
Melodic Houston rapper Don Toliver returned last week with his new single “Do It Right,” his first solo single since his 2021 project Life Of A Don. With a lively undercurrent of house and chopped-up R&B vocals providing the lead melody, the song is a sneakily addictive one, and today Toliver delivers the new track’s visuals.
Billed in a press release as “a bright prequel to Don’s new era,” the “Do It Right” video starts as a flashy, Soul Train-inspired disco and eventually transitions to a pool party where jealous partners are the last thing on anyone’s mind. It’s very stylish overall, and the “To Be Continued” title card at the conclusion hints at something called Lovesick: The Movie, likely a titular visual accompaniment to Toliver’s upcoming album.
Since releasing, Life Of A Don, Toliver has appeared on Pusha T’s It’s Almost Dry, Wizkid’s More Love, Less Ego, the deluxe edition of Baby Keem’s The Melodic Blue, SoFaygo’s Pink Heartz, and more.
