Shortly after Billy McFarland’s release from prison, the Fyre Festival co-founder sat with ABC News to apologize, saying “It was wrong… The hardest thing for me is the trust that I violated… People gave up a lot… I just really should have cancelled everything and stopped lying.” But it seems it didn’t take too long for McFarland to move forward. Per Deadline, the failed festival founder is already planning a new event in the Bahamas.

Last month, the disgraced businessman laughed about how he “effed around and found out” on TikTok, before teasing the new venture, which is said to be a treasure hunt-style party. Fyre Festival was also set in The Bahamian island of Great Exuma, where festival-goers were stranded without proper food and shelter in 2017.

In March 2018, the deemed con artist was sentenced to six years in a federal penitentiary after pleading guilty to two counts of wire fraud. He was released earlier this year, in March, after serving more than four years of his sentence.

McFarland’s latest pursuit will be captured in an Ample Entertainment-produced feature documentary titled After the Fyre, where he tries to repay the $26 million dollars owed to investors, partners, and attendees.
