The list of nominees for the 2022 Mercury Prize has been revealed with Harry Styles, Little Simz, and Wet Leg set to compete for this year's title. The annual prize rewards one outstanding British album. Last year's prize was won by Arlo Parks for debut album, Collapsed In Sunbeams.
Other nominated albums on this year's list include efforts from Oscar-nominated actress Jessie Buckley, for her album For All Our Days That Tear the Heart, made in collaboration with former Suede guitarist Bernard Butler, and punk duo Nova Twins, whose nomination for Supernova marks a rare acknowledgement of heavy rock by the Mercury judges.
See below for a full rundown of the nominated albums. The overall winner of the 2022 Mercury Prize will be announced on September 8 at a London ceremony. The winner is decided by the judging panel on the day of the prizegiving.
