Foo Fighters have announced plans to play two shows in memory of drummer Taylor Hawkins, who passed away earlier this year. Dave Grohl and co. will headline shows at London's Wembley Stadium on September 3 and the Kia Forum in Los Angeles on September 27. A press release states that the line-up for each "all-star rock and roll show" will be announced soon.
Hawkins died on March 25, age 50. The drummer was on tour with Foo Fighters at the time, with the band subsequently pulling all live dates in response to the loss. A toxicology report found opioids and anti-depressants in his system at the time of his death, though an official cause of death is still to be confirmed.
