Kendrick Lamar shares Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers cover art
His anticipated fifth studio LP arrives this Friday.
Kendrick Lamar has shared the cover artwork for his fifth studio LP, Pitchfork reports. Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers is due out this Friday via Top Dawg Entertainment. The Compton rapper posted the image, a photograph by Renell Medrano, to Instagram Wednesday afternoon, captioned simply with the forthcoming album's title. Check it out below.
Mr. Morale's rollout has been succinct and cryptic, in keeping with Kendrick's move away from the public light in recent years. Prior to this past weekend, the only morsel he'd of the project offered came last week in the form of a picture of two burnt discs posted to his bloggy website, oklama.com. On Sunday, he followed that post with the record's lead single, "The Heart Part 5," along with a video that found him face-morphing into O.J. Simpson, Ye, and others.
