BTS is back.
On Saturday night, the K-pop superstars closed out their four-day “Permission to Dance on Stage” Las Vegas residency by playing a teaser for what appeared to be a new release. Featuring black-and-white images of the seven members — Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V and Jungkook — the video ends with the date “2022.06.10” and the entire group saying,” we are bulletproof.”
Following the trailer’s debut, the band’s management company, Big Hit Entertainment, confirmed on Sunday that a new album was on the way.
“BTS will be back with another new album on June 10, 2022. Details on the new album will be provided in a separate notice at a later date,” Big Hit wrote on Weverse. “We look forward to your love and support for BTS’ new album. Thank you.”
This new album will be BTS’ first since 2020’s Be, which featured their global No.1 hit “Dynamite.” Granted, the group's been extremely busy since then, releasing their BTS, the Best compilation, a Coldplay collaboration called “My Universe," as well as their chart-topping singles “Butter” and “Permission to Dance.”
