Pusha T is gearing up to release It's Almost Dry, the Virginia rapper's fourth solo studio album. There's no release date for the project yet, though we've heard the singles "Diet Coke" co-produced by Kanye West and "Neck & Wrist" featuring JAY-Z with a beat from Pharrell. It does seem like it could be dropping fairly soon, judging from Pusha's relentless press cycle, which now includes an hour-long interview with media personality Charlamagne Tha God.
The conversation kicks off with Charlamagne calling It's Almost Dry Pusha T's "best body of work," which he agrees with. "I feel like I had the best of both worlds in regard to production and in regard to people, two people [the album's co-producers, Kanye and Pharrell], that actually understand who I am and they like two different things from me." Pusha also credits his time spent in lockdown during the pandemic to giving him "the time" he needed with Kanye West and Pharrell to create the album he regards as his "most well-rounded" body of work.
Later this year, Pusha T will embark on a tour promoting It's Almost Dry. He probably will not perform the McDonald's Filet-O-Fish diss he created for an Arby's ad.
