Doechii shares new song and video “Crazy”
The Florida rapper/singer’s new single arrives three weeks after releasing “Persuasive.”
Tampa rapper, singer and dancer Doechii has released a new song "Crazy." The song was produced by Kal Banx and arrives alongside a video directed by C. Prinz. According to a press release, the Top Dawg Entertainment/Capitol signee and C. Prinz extensively worked on the video over the last four months. Check it out above.
“Crazy is about un-contained power, creativity and confidence. People call you crazy when they fear you or they don’t understand you,” Doechii said about the song. “So when I use it in the song I’m reflecting that energy back on them to show them themselves.”
C. Prinz described the video as a visual metaphor for "the hardships women go through in their ascension to power" which asks viewers "to see the female form not in moments of sexuality but instead for what we all go through, what we survive through and what we transcend."
"Crazy" arrives three weeks after the release of "Persuasive," with which she announced her signing to TDE. Last year, Doechii shared her breakout hit "Yucky Blucky Fruitcake" and featured on "What U Sed" from Isaiah Rashad's The House Is Burning.
