DaBaby has been handed a lawsuit after allegedly attacking a man in a bowling alley last week, Rolling Stone reports. The alleged victim, Brandon Bill$, is the brother of DaniLeigh, with whom DaBaby has a child. In the complaint Bill$, real name Brandon Curiel, states that DaBaby “aggressively approached” him at Los Angeles establishment Corbin Bowl on February 10 and threatened him “in a loud bellicose manner.”
Curiel says this then escalated until DaBaby “physically assaulted” him, causing “severe injury and pain.” Curiel claims he did not fight back “attempted to avoid contact” as he was assaulted. The complaint states that he was “physically and psychologically damaged” by the rapper and left with injuries that “are permanent in nature.” Curiel also names Corbin Bowl as a defendant in the case.
In total the suit accuses DaBaby of assault, battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and negligence. He is seeking an unnamed amount in damages and legal fees.
TMZ originally shared video footage from the February 10 incident, which showed Curiel bleeding and DaBaby in shot. Police investigators looked into the attack but, as yet, no arrests have been made. The FADER has reached out to representatives of DaBaby for further comment.
