Listen to Fred Again..’s “Lights Out” featuring the xx’s Romy and HAAi
“Romy’s lyrics and voice are just like a hug from a rave angel,” Fred Again..
Fred Again.. has shared a new song titled “Lights Out.” The track is a collaboration with Romy Madly Croft of the xx and HAAi, a London-based DJ and producer. The song is the first in a monthly series of club-focused collaborations Fred Again.. is releasing throughout 2022 and reunites him with Romy, for whom he co-produced 2020 single "Lifetime." A statement claims the song was written to become a song that each individual artist could end their live sets with.
“I started this song on my laptop on a train up to the Scottish Highlands and immediately sent it to Romy and Teneil (HAAi) because it felt super special to me,” said Fred Again.. in a statement. “Romy’s lyrics and voice are just like a hug from a rave angel.”
Last year, Fred Again.. released two albums, Actual Life and Actual Life 2, and contributed to FKA twigs’ single “Don’t Judge Me.” He is nominated for a Grammy as a writer on Ed Sheeran’s “Bad Habits,” which is on the shortlist for Song of the Year.
