The guests on the album come from across the worlds of rap, hip-hop, R&B, soul, house music, and jazz. Kendrick Lamar, Cordae, Ty Dolla $ign, YG, and Smino will appear, as will Robert Glasper and Kamasi Washington, two of Martin's three bandmates in the jazz supergroup Dinner Party. We'll also hear Channel Tres, Celeste, Malaya, Kim Burrell and Hit-Boy across the album's 13 tracks.

The variance in the guests is reflective of Martin's approach to the album, as he detailed in a press statement. "There are touches of R&B, touches of jazz, touches of hip-hop, touches of classical, Cuban music, West African music, house music. You're going to hear all elements of Black music within this record. It's not one element I can leave out if I call myself a true Black artist."
