Kanye West removes KayCyy and Chris Brown from Donda
Kaycyy and Chris Brown are out, more bass is in.
As is his wont, Kanye West has updated his latest album a matter of weeks after it was initially released. As Hypebeast reports, a Reddit user by the name of PyroDZN has noted distinct changes between the version of Donda currently on streaming services and the one released, the most notable being the removal of KayCyy's chorus on "Keep My Spirit Alive" and Chris Brown's hook on "New Again". Finding the new version has proven to be something of a chore: both versions seem to currently exist on streaming services; when I tried to listen to the changes on my Spotify, I could only hear the old tracks, and only found the new tracks by going directly to the album page, embedded below. In addition to the removal of KayCyy and Brown, there appear to be minor cosmetic changes to the rest of the record — new mixes on "God Breathed", "Come To Life" and "Jail pt. 2", and more bass on "Junya". On Twitter, KayCyy seemingly responded to the changes, before deleting his tweets: "If u heard me u heard me ... if u didn't ... [...] My spirit living regardless." Listen to the whole thing below.
