Gospel trailblazer Kirk Franklin, along with his powerful choir and full band, turned a Texas studio into the latest backdrop for their NPR Tiny Desk (Home) concert. The artist and producer performed four of his biggest tracks as part of Tiny Desk's Black History Month celebrations.
Shot in Uncle Jessie's Kitchen, an Arlington, Texas studio named after a close friend, Franklin sat at a keyboard surrounded by a talented team of singers and musicians as they performed songs that spanned much of his 30-year career. After kicking things off with the 2019 single "Love Theory," they also performed "Silver and Gold," "Melodies From Heaven," and "I Smile."
