Japanese artist Satomimagae makes ambient folk that feels uniquely tethered to the astral plane. This spring will mark the arrival of her fourth album Hanazono, which translates to flower garden. Its due out on April 23rd via RVNG Intl. and Kikagaku Moyo's label Guruguru Brain, but ahead of that, she's sharing the first single "Numa," a song that sounds meditative in the face of unease.

In its music video, that struggle is illustrated by fight on the beach that presents itself as a purgative and vital. Director Soh Ideuchi writes in a press release "I realized that only humans fight for reasons other than survival. However, as the kanji "闘" suggests, victory and defeat cannot really exist in this universe, can they? For me, it looks like a vast expanse of sandy beach continuing eternally."
