Watch Sevdaliza ride a mechanical jackknife in her new “Rhode” video

Sevdaliza has shone brightly for years, but 2020 has felt like an especially powerful year for the Dutch-Iranian pop experimentalist. Not for the passive listener, her newest LP Shabrang presents an all-encompassing experience, one intent on enveloping and enrapturing. That, of course, stretches out into the visuals from the project. Today she's sharing her most epic yet, a miniature space odyssey for the album's penultimate track "Rhode." The Anna Himma-directed clip presents a stark visualizing of "feminity in it’s raw undiluted self," all building up to a climax involving a giant mechanical bull-esque jackknife.
