Watch Salem’s unnerving new video for “Red River”
Fires In Heaven is out on October 30.
Last month, Salem — the Michigan duo of Jack Donoghue and John Holland — returned with their first full-length project in a decade, a mixtape called Stay Down. Later this month, they're following it up with an album called Fires In Heaven. They've already shared a handful of tracks from the project, including "Red River," and today, they're delivering a video about as dense and foreboding as the song itself.
The video, helmed by Donaghue and Nick Vernet, splices together footage of facial recognition technology sorting out mass crowds. There's some pretty unsettling implications there, but Salem make it hard to look away. Check it out below, and be on the lookout for Fires In Heaven, out October 30.
