Phoebe Bridgers and Arlo Parks are two artists who use the emotional heft of language in their wry, observational lyrics. It's not a surprise, then, that Bridgers would turn to rising U.K. songwriter Parks for a special BBC Radio 1 live session. With Parks on piano, the pair covered Radiohead's "Fake Plastic Trees" in an eerily empty church. The duo bring their own fragile energy to The Bends song and, if you like that, they also ran through Bridgers' own "Kyoto" in a similar fashion.
Bridgers released her latest album Punisher in June. She recently played a few songs from the record at the L.A. Coliseum. Arlo Parks, meanwhile, dropped new song "Hurt" last month. Her other 2020 singles are "Eugene" and "Black Dog."
