Headie One enlists Stormzy and AJ Tracey for “Ain’t It Different” music video
The new song samples Red Hot Chili Peppers and interpolates Lady Saw.
Headie One has been a hotly tipped grime MC in the UK for a minute, but his profile got a huge boost this month when he teamed up with Drake for "Only One Freestyle." He's keeping the momentum going with "Ain't It Different," a new song featuring AJ Tracey and Stormzy, the last English rapper to find a big audience stateside.
The video, Taz Tron Delix, is all about flexing in blue-tinted light. Whether it's in a botanical garden, in the back of a Benz truck, or beneath a (fake) massive Headie One sculpture towering over the streets of London, the three rappers know how to make it look good. The song itself slaps, thanks in part to the sample of "Pretty Little Ditty" by the Red Hot Chilli Peppers (made famous by Crazy Town's hit "Butterfly") as well as an interpolation of Lady Saw's lyrics from her song "No Long Talking."
