Barack Obama has shared the 2020 edition of his annual summer playlist. The collection, released in time for this week’s Democratic National Convention, includes a healthy mix of recently-released songs and older tracks, including Megan Thee Stallion and Beyoncé’s “Savage Remix,” Wizkid and H.E.R.’s “Smile,” “Gemini” by Princess Nokia, and “Work” by Rihanna and Drake. The playlist also features a number of artists performing at the DNC, including Leon Bridges, Common, John Legend, The Chicks, Billie Eilish, Maggie Rogers, Billy Porter, and Jennifer Hudson. Elsewhere, Obama includes songs by HAIM, Mac Miller, Frank Ocean, Bob Dylan, Summer Walker, and more. See the full playlist below.
Over the past few months, I’ve spent a lot of time listening to music with my family. I wanted to share some of my favorites from the summer—including songs from some of the artists at this week’s @DemConvention. Hope you enjoy it. pic.twitter.com/2ZFwdN46jR
