Bank To School education fund

Bank To School helps fund the school tuition fees of children in Lebanon. School dropout rates in Lebanon were already high before the recent tragedy, and are expected to increase.

“The World Bank estimates that around two in five people in Lebanon will be living in poverty (<$5/day) and a further one in five in extreme poverty (<$1/day) in 2020 as a result of the current economic and financial crisis. School dropout rates are high: only half of children were still in school by age 18 in 2018. These numbers are predicted to get worse as a result of the situation, as families struggle to make ends meet. But we can make a difference, one child at a time.” — Bank To School

Chance Fund

The Chance Fund supports children undergoing cancer treatment in Lebanon.

“Children with cancer have very high cure rates, so financial difficulties should never be an obstacle to successful treatment.” — Chance

“Unfortunately, due to limited funds, we are either late to or cannot respond to 1 emergency call out of 5! This is mostly the case during weekdays from 6AM to 6PM when our volunteers are at work or in class, and we have to recruit some of our experienced volunteers as staff in order to ensure rapid and effective ambulance response during the day. But with small monthly donations, you can help us reach more people who need us faster.” — LRC
