Bobby Shmurda is almost home. An officer from the Department of Corrections and Community Supervision has reportedly told Complex that the long-incarcerated rapper is expected to appear in front of the Board of Parole later this month — the week of August 17, to be precise. It'll be four months ahead of his earliest release date, as is customary in the state of New York. If all goes smoothly, Shmurda could be free before Christmas.
Shmurda (real name Ackquille Jean Pollard) was sentenced to seven years behind bars back in 2016 after pleading guilty to criminal weapons possession charges. The latest he can be released from the Clinton Correctional Facility in upstate New York is December 11, 2021. As for the mixtape that Fivio Foreign claimed Shmurda would release from his cell, we're still waiting on it.
