London rapper Octavian has been at the forefront of melodic, futuristic rap since debuting in 2017, releasing his breakout mixtape Spaceman in 2018, and winning BBC's Sound of 2019 the following year. He'll release his highly anticipated debut album, executive produced by Skepta, later this year, and today dropped off its opening track "Rari (Chapter 1)." There's not a weak link to be found in the package: a visually stunning music video from Crowns and Owls, a chrome-finished and emotional Jim-E-Stack beat, and a verse from a ravenous Future only cap off Octavian's excellent performance, and by extension, my hopes for Octavian's upcoming project. Watch the music video above.
