For the better part of a decade, New York-based DJ and producer SHYBOI has been delightfully twisting our imaginations of what club and techno music can sound like when joined with musical elements of the African diaspora. Born in Jamaica, SHYBOI's music typically transforms the music of their home island with that of electronic music born in the U.S. and Europe. And today, that legacy continues with their new four-track project titled Rave Down Babylon. Over email the project is described as fusing "the frantic energy of techno with Caribbean fantasy and flair.
