The xx’s Romy Madley Croft confirms solo album, debuts new song “Weightless”

Romy Madley Croft of The xx told fans in an Instagram Live session on Sunday that she's working on her debut solo LP. It doesn't have a title or a release date, but, as Stereogum reported yesterday, she did perform a new song called "Weightless." Check it out below.

According to Stereogum, Croft said that the new album would be “a lot more upbeat" and added that it's “not exactly going to be guitar music, but it’s going to be fun.”

The xx celebrated the 10-year anniversary of their self-titled debut album last year. In December, they launched a clothing collection with designer Raf Simmons.
