After pushing back the release date of their fourth album Notes on a Conditional Form for (by my count) the fourth time, The 1975 have released another new single from the record. “Jesus Christ 2005 God Bless America” is a quiet collaboration with Phoebe Bridgers in which Matty Healy sings that he's "in love with a boy I know" and Bridgers sings that she's "in love with the girl next door." Almost entirely acoustic, the song would sound at home on a Bridgers solo album, though the Bon Iver-like horns that detail the back of the mix add a utopian element that was present on The 1975's last single "The Birthday Party."
