Digital FORT: Waxahatchee and Kevin Morby duet on each others’ songs

Katie Crutchfield sings “The Eye” and Morby sings “I Was On Time”

Digital FORT Day 1 is now over, and this video has been removed from The FADER.

Katie Crutchfield's fifth album as Waxahatchee, Saint Cloud, has only been out five days, but it's already cemented its place as the most engrossing record of her impressive career to date. And she shares a home with Kevin Morby, who himself is only a year removed from an impressive fifth album of his own in Oh My God and recently released two new singles. So their submission to Digital FORT made perfect sense, with Morby first singing harmonies for Crutchfield on "The Eye" and the two switching over for Morby's "I Was On Time." Will any amount of me tweeting at them ever bring about the full cover of Everclear's "Santa Monica" I so desperately want? Probably not! But the two of them backing each other up on two of their best songs still rules.
