Digital FORT Day 1 is now over, and this video has been removed from The FADER.

Jamila Woods has consistently been one of the most rewarding voices to hear in soul music since she stepped onto the scene. The Chicago native proved that once again with her contribution to Digital FORT, which is a previously-unheard track that she says is inspired by the late Toni Morrison's 1973 novel, Sula. With help from her sister on guitar, Woods croons smooth affirmations from her bedroom.
