Like many of the other spring and summer events this year, Barcelona's Primavera Sound Festival announced it would be postponed from its usual dates to the end of August. Originally set for June 3-7, the festival will now happen August 26-30 at its usual venue, Parc Del Forum. Previously, Tyler, The Creator, The Strokes, Lana del Rey, Bad Bunny, and the National were announced as headliners, but it's not yet clear if all of the artists on the bill will be able to make the new dates.
The festival made an official announcement on its website and across social media and added that the music business conference Primavera Pro would also be postponed to the new dates to coincide with the festival.
“We feel obliged and responsible to contribute insofar as we can to the survival of the live music scene, whose role will be key to the return to normality after this absolutely unprecedented situation,” the festival's announcement read. "We will make every effort to ensure that this change, imposed as a result of the current global health crisis, affects the festival’s program as little as possible.”
Tickets that were already purchased will be honored on the new festival dates.
