Things get weird when Phoebe Bridgers smokes a bong in her “Garden Song” video

Phoebe Bridgers has shared "Garden Song," her first new solo material since 2017. A video, directed by her younger brother Jackson, can be seen above. In it Bridgers, a non-smoker, takes a bong hit and the camera follows her journey (including furry animals and comedian Tig Notaro).
FADER cover star Bridgers's debut album Stranger In The Alps was released in 2017. Since then she has formed collaborative outfit boygenius alongside Lucy Dacus and Julien Baker as well as teaming up with Conor Oberst as Better Oblivion Community Center. More recently she has worked The National’s Matt Berninger on his debut solo single “Walking On A String” and again for a charity Christmas cover of Simon and Garfunkel’s “7 O’Clock News/ Silent Night” to benefit Planned Parenthood. The latter song also featured Fiona Apple.
This spring Bridgers will tour Japan, Australia, and New Zealand with The National before a series of dates opening for The 1975 across North America.
