Shantay, AOC stays. The new trailer for the forthcoming 12th season of RuPaul's Drag Race has been unveiled, and the show is bringing a stacked list of talent to assist in crowning this year's winner. Most notably, U.S. Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez will appear on an episode as a guest judge and overall beacon of light. While the trailer doesn't reveal much, it does show one queen reminding a fellow castmate that "being gay is still punishable by death in Iran," to which Ocasio-Cortez says, "I'm so thankful that you're a part of our country." In another promo, she tells viewers to "join the Ruvolution." Watch both of the clips below.
Aside from Ocasio-Cortez, the 12th season of RuPaul's Drag Race will also feature an appearance from Nicki Minaj (who will guest judge on the season premiere), as well as stints from Normani, Robyn, Jeff Goldblum, Leslie Jones, and Chaka Khan, among others. RuPaul’s Drag Race premieres February 28 on Vh1.
