Brent Faiyaz
Between his work with the trio Sonder and his solo projects A.M. Paradox, Sonder Son, and Lost, Brent Faiyaz has established himself as a brutally honest songwriter for the early hours. Today the 24-year-old Maryland native returns with new project Fuck The World, but don't let its nihilistic title trick you into thinking it is all bad vibes.
"Fuck the World to me is embracing the good shit," Faiyaz said in a recent interview with VICE. "The overindulgence of sex, money, bullshit but also saying fuck the world. Shit is fucked up. The good shit and the bad shit, the yin and the yang. That's why I like that specific expletive because it can mean both things."
The 10-track project features sparse production, with all the focus laying on Faiyaz's smooth vocals and lyrics. Check it out below.
