Back in December, Yumi Zouma signed to Polyvinyl and returned with a new single, "Right Track / Wrong Man." Today, the New Zealand quartet are following it up with another one, "Cool For A Second," a track that exemplifies the pillowy dream-pop they've mastered across their brief discography. "The song was demoed in Los Angeles and then long forgotten, destined for the scrap heap," bassist Charlie Ryder wrote in a press release. "A spark of inspiration from Josh in the introduction reestablished that for us, the most conspicuous of melodies are often hidden in modest beginnings."
"Cool For A Second" will appear on the band's third album, Truth or Consequences, which is due out March 13 via Polyvinyl. They've also scheduled a number of North American gigs around the album's release. Peep all the dates, and watch the Nick Mckk-directed video for "Cool For A Second," below.
