Kendrick Lamar has been named headliner of British festival BST Hyde Park. The Compton rapper will play the London event on July 5. Support on the day will come from James Blake and Brittany Howard, with more names to be added shortly. Lamar is the latest headliner for the annual festival and joins the previously announced Little Mix (July 4), Pearl Jam (10) and Taylor Swift (11).
BST Hyde Park is the latest in a string of European summer festival dates for Lamar. He will also top the bill at Lollapalooza's Swedish edition, Norway's Sommertid, Open'er in Poland, and NOS Alive in Portugal among others.
Lamar's latest album, DAMN, was released in 2017. Last year he appeared on the Dreamville album Revenge of the Dreamers III and Beyonce's Lion King soundtrack.
