The 2020 Golden Globes took place last night at the Beverly Hills Hotel in Los Angeles, and, as usual, it was a strange night of left-field wins, rousing speeches, and wonderful opportunities to see TV stars and film star rub shoulders for pretty much the only time in the year. There were some, but not many, surprises: Beyoncé lost Best Original Song to Elton John, while Laura Dern triumphed over Jennifer Lopez’s instantly iconic Hustlers role.
