Mariah Carey, both Queen of Christmas and Queen of Doing Things Her Own Way, has released a video for her iconic holiday single "All I Want For Christmas Is You," a mere 25 years after it was first released in October 1994. A celebration of the fact that the song recently hit No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 for the first time — or, if you want to be more cynical, a ploy to keep it there — the Joseph Khan-directed video is a grand and oddly surreal accompaniment to the modern Christmas standard. Featuring Carey singing and dancing in a Christmas toy store, the clip also includes some genuinely terrifying nutcrackers. Is the entire thing secretly an anti-capitalist ploy to get kids to hate Christmas? All nutcrackers point to yes. Watch the entire video above.
