SOPHIE shares remix of U.K. producer SONIKKU’s “Sweat”
Featuring vocals from internet pop icon LIZ.
Last week brought news that SOPHIE has teamed up with Juliana Huxtable as Analemma and today is another great day for fans of the boundary-pushing electronic artist, with the arrival of a new remix. Her take on London-based SONIKKU's "Sweat" is a relentless dancefloor banger, turning vocalist LIZ's Kylie Minogue "Slow"-aping vocals into hyperspace with a trademark dose of PC Music energy.
“When SOPHIE and I met, we played each other our favourite disco music, and I think we view pop music in a very similar way," SONIKKU said in a statement. "A mutual friend played 'Sweat' to her, and she connected with it instantly. To collaborate with an artist whose music I admire feels unreal, I could listen to [SOPHIE's] ‘Nothing More To Say’ endlessly. I feel the same hypersonic energy of that track was brought to the ‘Sweat’ remix.”
The remix is taken from a forthcoming EP of "Sweat" remixes, due for release this Friday (December 13) via Bella Union.
